Different Ways To Use Sea Moss

With it’s wide range of health benefits, sea moss is becoming ever more popular for health conscious people all over the world. But with it being a relatively new health supplement, we often receive questions such as:

"How much sea moss should I take?"

"What is the best way to take sea moss?"

Find all the answers on how best to take sea moss:

How much sea moss should I take?

We would advise consuming 1-2 tablespoons of sea moss. Aim for this daily, but take no more than 3 tablespoons per day as over-consuming can cause iodine toxicity which can be detrimental to your health. For children, we advise one tablespoon per day.

What is the best way to take sea moss?

Put simply, the best way to take wildcrafted sea moss is on its own. We understand though that many of our customers are not keen on this due to the abnormal texture and consistency, so another great way to consume it is mixed into your food and drink. As sea moss is tasteless, you will find it hard to even notice it as an ingredient. Sea moss smoothies are popular among our customers – why not try blending it with fresh fruit for a healthy drink option?

Some other food you can add your conscious moss to is:

  • Porridge
  • Cereal
  • Pasta
  • Curries
  • Stews

Often we also receive questions about adding fruit/fruit flavouring to our gels. We will NEVER do this, as fruits only last around a week when refrigerated. Adding fruit to sea moss will only cause bacteria to grow, dramatically reducing how long it lasts in the fridge. The key is to add sea moss to your fruit, not add fruit to your sea moss.

Now you know how best to consume it, visit our shop to purchase your jar today to reap the rewards of the 92 minerals packed into our organic, wildcrafted Irish moss.
